Sanctuary is a Canadian Syfy series. It is created and produced by Damian Kindler in association with by the Beedie Development Group. The series is a sequel of a web series that was broadcasted on internet in early 2007 at zero cost. After it gained momentum on internet, the crew decided to continue it as a series which was again a huge hit. It was first broadcasted on 3rd October, 2008 in Canada, US and in United Kingdom on 6th. The series was the highest ranked series for science fiction fantasy and invited nearly trillions of viewers. It has successfully completed its 4 seasons till date. She runs the organization Sanctuary that seeks for the super powerful beings (animals or humans), that are called as Abnormal creatures. Sanctuary is an organization that quests and protects the people or animals possessing extra ordinary powers and skills. Such creatures are normally called as monsters. The company serves as a habitat or protection of such beings. Initially Dr. Helen Magnus is criticized but later assisted by her teammates including her dependent Will Zimmerman, daughter Ashley, a big mouth lycanthrope Geek named Henry Foss and a computer engineer played by Christopher Heyerdahl. The past of Dr. Magnus is gradually revealed throughout the series. Her father is a Victorian period scientist, who favors the protection of indifferent creatures in the world. He used to train in her while she was young. She is the associate of the group of scientists named ‘The five’. It also includes Nikola Tesla, Nigel Griffin, Dr, James Watson and the lover of Magnus, John Druitt. The group wants to raise the limits of their knowledge about the surrounding world. Magnus obtains the bottle of a drug of monster blood which she injects into the serum that all have to intake. It has strange and unique effects on all. Magnus acquires a long and slow age, Nigel Griffin attains the power to disappear at his discretion, Dr. James get the extraordinary intellect, Nikola Tesla becomes a monster; Druitt gets the strong but unstable power to teleport objects Later in episode three, ‘The Cabal’, a strong shadow comes into sight that assumes the abnormal creatures as a threat to the human dominated world. In the season finale, The Cabal plans out to create Lazarus, a weapon which can create such ‘Abnormals’ into extremely aggressive and brutal creatures that can kill the person at a single attack and then die. The main punch of the plan is that if it creates such mess, than it would be widely criticized by the humanity and would obviously be wiped off. In the season 2 , Ashley is brainwashed and converted into a monstrous soldier that could prevent the Sanctuary. After the attack of the Cabal, the whole group tries to encounter and Ashley sacrifices her life. Finally John Druitt attacks the monster and beheads him.
