Getting directions for the nearest supermarket would be a great example in using the GPS Maps. Driving around town or in an unknown city would not be that hard for you now.
GPS stands for Global Positioning system which relies on the satellite for navigation instructions. It provides information such as location, time and weather in a specific area. Meanwhile, these maps provide data through images. It is capable in uploading routes, shortcuts and can also track other GPS units.
The GPS system comprises of 5 ground stations and 24 satellites called NAVSTAR. The ground stations make sure that the satellites are at their assigned orbits. The Department of Defense has placed 24 satellites in a certain orbit with an altitude of 10,900 miles. Each satellite orbits around the Earth in less than 12 hours. Each Satellite transmits their own unique type of signal and is stored separately in the GPS unit as signatures. The distance per satellite is measured by radio waves and how long it reaches the GPS unit. You will be able to view GPS maps through the captured images from the satellites.
These maps are being used by hunters, to get perfect spots to test their hunting skills. This is best used in the Western States such as Idaho, Utah, Wyoming and New Mexico. There are sites that offer memberships for to be guided on your hunting GPS maps. You will need to purchase these maps:

2.You may order a printed copy.
3.You may order for a downloadable PDF file and a printed copy of the map.
You can always buy hunting maps online. For most sites that require membership, they will certainly give you tips and discounts. Although, some of the maps are limited to a number of specified states and the type of animal you are hunting, you might need to request for those maps that are still unavailable.
GPS maps can be used in different ways. You gain confidence and seeing the place as it is in the palm of your hands. Whether you are stuck in a traffic jam and would like to know the quickest way out from the city or perhaps, locating the nearest hospital or a restaurant. Driving around the city is easier now. GPS Hunting Maps are State specific and would depend on what type of hunter you are.
